Max Richter’s new label StudioRichter releases a 180g 12” edition of ‘On The Nature Of Daylight’ on 16th December, the theme from the soundtrack to Denis Villeneuve’s new film Arrival. The 12” includes both versions of the music; the original quintet recording, and the later recording for full string orchestra.

The release will be followed by a deluxe vinyl box set edition of Richter’s 8 hour lullaby Sleep in early 2017.

Southern Lord are set to re-release two albums by Philadelphia hardcore punks Ruin – 1984’s He-Ho and 1986’s Fiat Lux, both of which will be combined as a package on 9th December.

Bob Dylan‘s The Real Albert Hall 1966 Concert is released as a standalone 2CD & 2LP set on 25th November. Originally recorded by CBS Records for a live album, Dylan is accompanied on these recordings by Robbie Robertson (guitar), Rick Danko (bass, backing vocals), Richard Manuel (piano), Garth Hudson (organ) and Mickey Jones (drums).

On 25th November, Taang! Records will re-release Blondertongue Audiobaton by 1990s shoegaze outfit Swirlies.  The album was recently ranked #11 in a Pitchfork article listing the 50 best shoegaze albums of all time.

John Cale has his live album Fragments of a Rainy Season, featuring his interpretation of Leonard Cohen’s ‘Hallelujah’ and previously unreleased outtakes, re-released on 9th December through Double Six / Domino. The set will be released on limited edition triple gatefold 12” vinyl and standard double 12” vinyl.

David Bowie ‘best of’ Legacy is released as a double vinyl set on 6th January. A limited number come with two art prints.

Bill Hunt, backed by Midlands supergroup The Ancient Order of Froth Blowers (featuring Miles Hunt – The Wonderstuff; Nick Pentelow & Hugh McDowell – Wizzard/ELO) release ‘El Original Brew’, a brand new composition set for release on the 15th December.

Written as the follow up to Wizzard’s b-Side ’The Carlsberg Special’, the follow up track arrives 44 years after the original and will be released on special beer coloured vinyl. A special commemorative ‘El Original Brew’ beer will be accompanying the release courtesy of Birmingham’s Froth Blowers Brewery.

Anna von Hausswolff has announced ‘Källan (Betatype)’ for release on 18th November. Two vinyl editions of 500 copies each are available for pre-order – an Ash International edition and a Pomperipossa Records (Anna’s own record label) edition. Each feature differing screen-printed covers, both drawn and etched by Anna, signed by her and numbered by the label.
