Doc N Roll Film Festival hits Manchester

The Doc N Roll Music Documentary Festival has announced it will roll into Manchester for the very first time from 23rd to 28th May 2018.

With screenings taking place at the HOME arts complex, Gullivers, 3MT and Plant Noma – the festival will be bringing a programme of eleven premiere films to the city and Greater Manchester throughout the week.

The Festival includes the world premiere of About A Badly Drawn Boy and the city premiere of Manchester Keeps On Dancing. After the screening, director Javi Senz will be accompanied by Krysko, Ruud Whiting (Metrodome/Levelz) and host Dave Haslam for a Q&A to take viewers behind the scenes of the film plus an after-party at Gorilla.

Other titles set to be featured include films about grunge punkers L7; Ella Fitzgerald; the underground Techno scene of Iran; post-punk songwriter Adrian Borland & The Sound; unsung Merseybeat heroes The Big Three; DEATH; plus a celebration of the infamous Ealing Club in London, a venue dubbed “the Cradle of British Rock”.
