Shield Patterns schedule new album

Shield Patterns

Manchester-based duo Shield Patterns release their second album, Mirror Breathing, on 2nd September.

The follow-up to 2014’s Contour Lines, the album was recorded at the band’s own Cloud Blunt Moon studio. The recording features contributions from cellist Julia Kent (Antony and the Johnsons, The Leaf Label). Hear a track from the album below.

Claire Brentnall had this to say about Mirror Breathing: “The album for me is about feeling connected; exploring what it means to be a friend, to be in love, to be an individual, to be part of a collective unconscious. It’s about the beauty of imperfection, of making mistakes, and the discoveries that are made by chance as we learn to exist.”

Shield Patterns play:

10.09 – Manchester, Soup Kitchen
16.09 – Edinburgh, Assembly Roxy
